Delivered free* through the Dorset Training Academy, Weymouth College’s range of online distance learning courses provide a flexible learning approach which allows you to fit course studies around your lifestyle.

With our range of courses, you can gain industry-recognised qualification(s) that will enhance your CV and provide valuable evidence of your skills and knowledge.

All you need is a commitment, as self-directed study is not an easy option, especially if you are working full time or have family and personal commitments. You will study online via the e-assessor learning portal, with our support staff and assessors on hand to guide and help you throughout your qualification.

Signing up is quick and easy, just find the course you want to study and complete the short form to register. We will then contact you with further details and complete a short telephone interview with you to determine your eligibility, understanding and commitment.

 

Level 2 courses

Studied over a period of four months, our Level 2 courses – awarded by NCFE all lead to a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification.

We offer flexible monthly start dates so you are able to enrol throughout the year at a time convenient to you. You will be provided with a breakdown of unit deadlines so that you are able to plan your study time around your other commitments.

 

Level 3 courses also now available

Studied over a period of 4 months our Level 3 courses – awarded by NCFE are available to those learners who do not already hold a full Level 3 qualification and satisfy the relevant employment and learning criteria – you will find full details on the course pages.

We offer flexible monthly start dates so you are able to enrol at almost any time during the year. You will be provided with a breakdown of unit deadlines so that you are able to plan your study time around your other commitments.

Eligibility for FREE* Level 2 Distance Learning Courses

  • Be resident in England
  • Must have lived in the UK or EAA for the last three years
  • Must be aged 19 years or over as at the start of the academic year (31st August)
  • Have a full level 2 qualification (if aged 19-23)

 

*This course is free to complete if you meet the eligibility criteria, however a withdraw fee of £100 applies in the following circumstances:

  • Learner requests to withdraw
  • Learner does not commence their course
  • Learner does not complete their course by their allocated end date

There is a two-week grace period where learners are able to withdraw from their course free of charge. This starts from the date of your welcome email containing login details and access information for the learning portal. You will be provided with further details on the withdraw process at sign up.
