Delivered through the Dorset Training Academy and awarded by NCFE/CACHE our range of courses provide a flexible learning approach.

All courses are available to study online, with our staff and assessors on hand to support you throughout your qualification. Each course varies in duration between 8 and 12 weeks of study.

Launched in 2022, Multiply offers adults access to FREE numeracy courses with the opportunity to build confidence using numbers in daily life, home, and work and gain formal numeracy qualifications.

Our courses will help you understand and improve household finances, help your children with homework, make more sense of the stats and facts in the media, or improve numeracy skills specific to your line of work.

Skills Bootcamps are flexible training courses for adults aged 19 and over and are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs.

They have been developed in partnership with employers, colleges and local authorities to create flexible and bespoke training courses that last up to 16 weeks.

Including Solar PV Installation, Electric Vehicle Charging Installation and Heat Pump Installation & Maintenance, these fully-funded courses will help both individuals and professionals up-skill and prepare for a more eco-friendly world.

Free courses for jobs – funding for Level 3 courses

If you are aged 19 + and looking to undertake additional study, your course could be fully funded by the government if you meet any of the following criteria:

• If you are aged 19 – 23 and do not already hold a Level 3 qualification
• If you are unemployed and in receipt of benefits,
• If you are earning less than £25,000.00 annual gross salary

and

• Meet the standard residency criteria for funding

The courses offered through Weymouth College’s Town Centre Campus will enable you to improve your skills and/or gain a nationally-recognised qualification at a level that is suitable for you from Entry Level to Level 2.

The courses are free for over 18s who would like to update their skills and/or gain qualifications. They are suitable for people who may not have been in learning since school and want to update their skills. There are courses at all levels of ability and they are delivered in a relaxed, informal style!
