Counselling Skills – Level 2 Award (CPCAB)
Home › Dorset Training Academy › Counselling Skills – Level 2 Award (CPCAB)
Delivered through the Dorset Training Academy, this course leads to a nationally regulated qualification awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) – the only Ofqual-approved awarding body to specialise in the field of counselling and supervision.
This qualification, awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) and delivered over 10 weeks in the evening is intended for candidates who want to:
- Learn basic counselling skills (listening and responding skills) in helping roles
- Find out more about counselling (this qualification won’t teach them to be a counsellor, but may help them decide whether or not they want to train as one)
- Improve professional and personal relationships
The course runs in the evening for ten weeks, from 6pm to 9pm and will be delivered at the Cranford Avenue College site in Weymouth, with free parking available.
Assessment is by portfolio of work.
