Summer Work
Weymouth College Sixth Form AS Levels/A Levels/GCSEs
Please complete the relevant homework for your chosen subjects over the summer to get you off to the best possible start when your studies begin in September. You can download and print the homework from the list below. This homework should be handed in during your first lesson for each subject. If there is no homework for your chosen subject(s) then you will not be required to complete summer work for that subject, unless you have already been given work by the subject lecturer. Good luck!

Music & Music Technology
While there is no formal summer project, Music and Music Technology students are encouraged to use the break to immerse themselves in live music experiences – whether by attending gigs, concerts, club nights or festivals.
Watching high-quality recordings on platforms like YouTube is also highly recommended, particularly those that highlight concert performances, DJ sets or production work. Use this time to develop your practical skills -whether that’s through instrumental or vocal practice, refining your DJ techniques or experimenting with music production in your DAW of choice.
Take advantage of any opportunities to perform live, collaborate with others, or attend local workshops, studio sessions or music/music technology events to broaden your creative and technical understanding.
Performing Arts
There is no specific summer project but students should use their break to see as much live performance as possible and view some high quality recorded (previously live) performances on channels such as Sky Arts or YouTube. You should take the opportunity to develop your own performance skills through any independent practice and also take any opportunities to perform or access workshops or classes that become available in your area
