Routes into Sport & Public Services (L1)

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. All learners must be 16 – 19 and will be asked to attend an interview and to undertake initial assessments. You should be committed to improving your own skills and be willing to work as part of a team.

NOCN Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development. Functional Skills (English and Maths) If you are interested in a subject that does not appear on this list please contact one of the course tutors to discuss this further. Other Level 1 courses are available (please see the college website or prospectus) and other Routes Into courses may be added where there is an identified need.

• Sport & Public Services

Other Routes Into courses may be added where there is an identified need.

Students are assessed through coursework, which will be completed during lessons. Functional Skills in English and Maths or GCSE if appropriate are assessed through formal exams, which can be taken when the student is ready.

The Routes into programme is designed to develop the skills needed to prepare you for the next stages of your journey, this may be a Level 2 course, apprenticeship or employment.

If you are aged 16-18 as of 31st August on the year of enrolment – no course fee. If you are over 19 as of 31st August and enrolling on a full-time programme of study a tuition fee will be applicable in most cases.

Bursary Funds
