Weymouth College has partnered with several local museums to celebrate Dorset’s fascinating history through a series of lectures, taking place over the next six months, with the following speakers:
- October 24th – David Willey, The Tank Museum
- November 14th – Kate Hebditch, Weymouth Museum
- December 12th – Chris Wilson, Tudor House Museum
- January 9th – David Carter, Portland Museum
- January 30th – Claire Dixon – Dorset Museum & Art Gallery
- February 6th – Jon Dixon – Weymouth in The Civil War
- March 6th – Geoff Culver – The Nothe Fort
- March 27th – David Willey, The Tank Museum (back by popular demand!)
The lectures have been organised by Weymouth College History & Sociology Lecturer Sarah Downes, who hopes to bring Dorset’s history to a wider audience. The talks are open to all and will be free of charge (with exception of January 30th talk where there will be £5 charge).
Talks will start at 6.30pm and those attending should meet in the Weymouth College reception.
