Theatre company Box Tale Soup will be bringing their adaptation of classic supernatural thriller, Casting the Runes, to Weymouth College’s Bay Theatre this February.

Audiences will be kept on the edge of their seat, as performers Noel Byrne and Antonia Christophers breathe new life into M. R. James’ 1911 play, accompanied by unique puppets and a haunting soundtrack of original music composed by Dan Melrose.

With an innovative design and shifting set, this is set to be a chilling and entertaining hour of theatre.

Edward Dunning, academic expert in the occult, has recently rejected a paper by a man named Karswell. Things take a dark turn for Dunning when he is passed a mysterious strip of paper covered in runic lettering.

With the help of a new acquaintance, Dunning must uncover the secret of the runes before the dark presence at his heels finally catches up with him.
