Multiply: Preparation for Level 1 Maths – Functional Skills

Dates: Tuesday 10th January 2023 to Tuesday 21st February 2023
We all use Maths in a variety of everyday life situations (sometimes without realising) and this course will build upon your existing knowledge and help you become much more comfortable with numbers.
This course has been designed make to Maths accessible to all and will include practical hands on activities to make maths fun and easier to understand.
The course will focus on the following:
- Increase in level of confidence of dealing with Maths in everyday situations
- Improving existing numeracy skills
- Improve problem solving skills
The course will take place at our Adult Skills Town Centre site, in small group sizes where you will be provided with additional support and guidance if needed.
On successful completion of this six-week course, you will be offered the opportunity to enrol onto a Functional Skills Level 1 Maths course.
If you are aged over 19, live in the Dorset Council area and don’t currently have a GCSE grade C or equivalent, then you will be able to join us and take part in Multiply.

Delivered free and fully funded through the Government’s Skills for Life Campaign, this Multiply course is an opportunity to build upon the foundations of your maths knowledge – to gain an increased level of confidence and ability to enable you to enrol onto a Functional Skills Maths qualification at Level 1.
