As National Careers Week 2024 unfolds, we’re shining a spotlight on the importance of making informed decisions about your future steps.

At Weymouth College, we recognise the significance of choosing the right steps for your educational journey and career, and our dedicated Careers Advice and Guidance Team is here to accompany you every step of the way.

Envisioning your future career path can be both an exciting and daunting time, especially with so many choices available. That’s where our professionally-qualified team of careers advisors can step in.

From the moment you consider enrolling at Weymouth College, they can provide tailored support to help you navigate your future trajectory, whether you’re exploring potential subjects to study, considering Higher Education options or delving into the world of Apprenticeships and employment.

Whilst at Weymouth College, you will be access to a range of guidance and support activities, delivered either through the College’s extensive Careers Programme or your curriculum area. This will include one-to-one guidance meetings, support when applying for jobs and Apprenticeships, personal career research using our career planning resources, workshops on CV writing, Higher Education and UCAS and employability, and more.

Our commitment to supporting students extends beyond their time at Weymouth College. Even before you set foot on our campus, our advisors are available to assist you in making the right choices for your future. Throughout your journey at the College, we provide ongoing support and guidance to help you navigate academic challenges and career decisions. And when the time comes to take your next steps beyond Weymouth College, our team remains steadfast in helping you transition seamlessly into your chosen path, whether it’s progressing to another course, exploring higher education options, embarking on an apprenticeship, or securing a job.
