GUYS AND DOLLS
A Musical Fable of Broadway, based on the story and characters of Damon Runyon, with music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.
Set in 1950s New York, Guys and Dolls is a tongue in cheek romantic musical. Gambler Nathan Detroit tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town whilst avoiding the authorities.
Turing to the notorious Sky Masterson to help raise the money, Nathan and Sky agree an outrageous bet that draws in unsuspecting Sarah Brown, a local missionary, and Hot Box dancer, Adelaide, who is also Nathan’s long-suffering girlfriend. The final result is not what they expect, ending up turning everyone’s love lives around!
Come and join the Level 3 students as they entertain you with familiar numbers such as Luck Be a Lady and Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat! We expect this to be a popular show… book early to avoid disappointment!
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Musical Theatre International. All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI www.mtishows.co.uk
