Delivered face to face and online, this course is aimed at employees who are looking to progress within their existing roles, or move into supervisory positions but who lack the skills or confidence in numeracy. If you would like to learn more about dealing with budgets, stock ordering, payroll and much more then this is the course for you.
Course Content
This course is designed for employees looking to boost their skills and confidence in numeracy to enhance current roles or enhance career progression opportunities.
During this course you will have the opportunity to revisit and become more confident in basic numeracy skills and develop strategies for applying them to the workplace. You will also learn how to start using Excel to record and analyse numerical data used at work.
You will learn about:
- Basic numeracy skills
- Problem solving
- Graphs and Statistics
- Workplace numeracy skills (e.g. stock control, budget and employee calculations)
- Digital skills – using Excel to work with numerical data
- Basic data entry and formatting
- Simple calculations and functions in Excel
- Creating charts and using graphical features in Excel.
This course will enhance your digital and numeracy skills which are essential tools to prepare you for the next step in your career.
If you are aged over 19, live in the Dorset Council area and don’t currently have a GCSE grade C or equivalent, then you will be able to join us and take part in Multiply.
