This course is designed for those learners with ambitions for a career in holistic and the Beauty Industry. You will learn the basics of this increasingly popular complementary therapy. This massage is excellent for de-stressing people, appreciated by people of all ages with wonderful relaxing benefits to body, mind and spirit.
Entry Requirements
Students must show an interest in complimentary therapies and enjoy working closely with people in a caring supportive environment. You may be required to undertake diagnostic tests prior to acceptance on the course.
Course Content
You will develop a range of practical skills plus underpinning knowledge. Course will include: Relevant Anatomy & Physiology Massage Techniques Health & Safety Practical assessment in a realistic working environment Client care and communication Study Requirements Project work Home study Case Studies Practical assessments in a realistic working environment
How will I be assessed?
No formal examination for this course but the following will apply: Written assessment Practical assessment Assignments
Tools/Materials/Books
Products for massage will be provided and will attract a fee of £TBC per student. Students should set aside approximately £80 for a white uniform and shoes (flat).
