Delivered through the Dorset Training Academy, this course leads to a nationally regulated qualification awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) – the only Ofqual-approved awarding body to specialise in the field of counselling and supervision. This qualification is delivered over 30 weeks and is for learners who have already gained a Level 2 recognised Certificate in Counselling Skills and want to:
- Take the next step to become a counsellor
- Develop their learn more about counselling theory, ethics and mental health
- Obtain the qualification needed for work as a counsellor in an agency setting
The course runs in the evening for thirty weeks, from 6pm to 9pm and will be delivered at the Cranford Avenue College site in Weymouth, with free parking available.
Assessment is by portfolio of work and 1 externally marked assessment.
