Business Pathway
From September 2021 we are launching our new pathways routes in Business, Engineering and Sport. These pathways are designed specifically to provide you with the academic and vocational skills you need to thrive in the workplace or at university.
Business is the heartbeat of all thriving economies, after all, money makes the world go round! So, where better to launch your entrepreneurial, business or legal career than Weymouth College Sixth Form. You will study A Level Law, English Language, Exploring Business and Developing a Marketing Campaign.
Entry Requirements
At least 5 GCSEs at Grade 9-5 including English Language and Maths
Course Content
Year 1 – Certificate
Unit 1 Exploring Business
Unit 2 Developing a marketing campaign (external assessment)
Year 2 – Extended Certificate
Unit 3 Personal and Business Finance (external assessment)
Plus one optional unit (TBC after year 1)
Fees
If you are aged 16-18 as of 31 August on the year of enrolment – no course fee. If you are over 19 as of 31 August and enrolling on a full-time programme of study a tuition fee will be applicable in most cases. Bursary funds There are financial support arrangements for 16-18 year olds and hardship funds available for the over 19s.
