The LEAP Theatre Project
The LEAP (Local Emerging Artists Platform) theatre project began in 2009. The scheme aims to encourage selected alumni from the performing arts department here at Weymouth College to return work on our premises as a Company in Residence to encourage and support great creative performance work being made in Dorset. This scheme provides an opportunity for theatre practitioners (ex-students) working locally to gain free rehearsal space and professional support whilst providing our current students access to advice and guidance from artists working in the Performance industry. At the end of the residency the LEAP companies tour their performance work.
Past companies include
Patchwork Theatre Company
Rummage Theatre
Out of the Blue
And Frenetic Fox
“Dramatic and Chilling” “Skilful acting” – Broadway baby review (Edinburgh Festival Performance of Cleansed by Rummage Theatre)
