Weymouth College is an ambitious college heading for outstanding. We are proud to be high performing yet inclusive and accessible in our approach. We challenge and inspire enquiring minds with academic and skills-based courses and produce some remarkable results. We’re home to the best stone masonry courses in the UK and our alumni include an Oscar winner and a celebrity chef. We attract over 7000 students from across the region and have the privilege to be located on Dorset’s spectacular Jurassic Coast, which is England’s first natural heritage site, and the venue for sailing events at the 2012 Olympics.
The Academy has reopened its doors after the summer break and has been busy developing its new menu. It has also joined forces with FEAST Weymouth as a Gold sponsor of a six-week long food festival which starts on 1st October. The event which is now in its second year, sees local venues come together to celebrate the dining scene and offer great menus at special prices.
The HIX Academy are offering diners a special FEAST menu, available from 1st October – 13th November of £15 for 2 courses £20 for 3 courses with the menu including:
Academy smoked salmon ‘Hix cure’ with Corrigan’s soda bread
Jellied Ham hock with piccalilli
White Onion and Burrow Hill cider soup
Poached fillet of Loch Duart salmon with hollandaise sauce
Escalope of Snowdon view farm chicken with a fried Burford brown egg, anchovy and capers
Butternut squash Risotto
Thyme roasted root vegetables
Peruvian gold chocolate mousse
Godminster and Vale of Camelot with Dorset Chutney
Selection of ice cream and sorbets (2 scoops)
The Academy is open every Friday and Saturday, 12-3pm for Lunch and 6-9pm for Dinner.

There will be lots to see and do. You’ll be able to take a look at the broad-range of courses we offer. Subjects as diverse as Motor Vehicle and Motorcycle, Stonemasonry and Performing Arts, Music and Engineering. That’s not all; there will also be lots of fun-filled attractions too. Join in the try-a-skill sessions and take a campus tour. And if you’re interested in finding out what our town centre campus – 106 St Marys Street has to offer, they will also be opening their doors.
