We’re home to the best stone masonry courses in the UK and our alumni include an Oscar winner and a celebrity chef. We attract over 7000 students from across the region and have the privilege to be located on Dorset’s spectacular Jurassic Coast, which is England’s first natural heritage site, and the venue for sailing events at the 2012 Olympics.
Are you enrolling onto a course with us this year? If so you should have received either by email or post, details of your enrolment appointment. Appointments are arranged so that you have an opportunity to bring in certificates, confirm your course, complete final paperwork and pay any fees that may be applicable. You must enrol onto your course to be able start in September.
Enrolment 2015 starts on Thursday 20th August and will run through to Friday 4th September for full-time and part-time students with Higher Education enrolment running until Friday 11th.
If you’ve applied somewhere else or not got the grades you were hoping for, you can get free impartial advice at the Information Point throughout August.
Weymouth College will be holding a Freshers’ Fair in September for new students, where businesses such as Cineworld, Nando’s and Subway will be offering freebies and vouchers. There will be games and activities, a selfie booth and face painting plus, there will also be festival food served and The Leggomen will be playing from 12pm-2pm.
The fair will be held in College Square on 9th September between 10am and 2pm.
Have you ever thought about donating blood? Do you know what blood group you are? If not there will be an interactive session on Thursday 8th October for staff and students to get their blood group tested.
Last year blood stocks fell dangerously low across Dorset. Would you consider giving blood to help prevent this from happening again?
