One Future – A “next steps” careers and higher education event

Whether you are looking at continuing your education, considering an apprenticeship or starting a job – come along and find out more about the wide range of job opportunities, pathways and options available to you as you move on in 2023. Employers and higher and further education providers will be joining us to help make sure you have all the information you need to make the right career decisions for you.

Who is the One Future Careers Event For?
The One Future careers event is for both students and parents to learn more about many prospective employers in the local area and across Dorset. In addition to the range of employers in attendance, there will also be a wide variety of universities and higher education (HE) providers present who you can talk to. Please find out about their courses, facilities and support offerings and hear talks surrounding higher education and student finance.
Interested in Apprenticeships?
The Weymouth College Apprenticeship team, Dorset Council and ASK Apprenticeships will all also be at the event as well as our range of employers and universities to provide you with crucial information as to the opportunities for apprenticeships in the local area. ASK Apprenticeships will also be delivering a talk centred around apprenticeships.
When and Where is the Event Being Held?
The Event is being held at Weymouth College during National Careers Week. Our One Future event will be held on Thursday the 9th of March 2023 from 16:00-19:00, with National Careers Week running from the 6th-10th.

Using the form below, you can register for our One Future event itself by telling us a bit more about yourself and who will be attending with you, parents are more than welcome to come along too. Three talks will be taking place throughout the event. These talks are being given by various universities and each talk will take place three times during the event, giving you plenty of time to hear each talk as well as visit all the attendee’s stands.

Who will be Attending the Careers Fair?
We have a total of 21 Universities attending this year’s One Future Careers Fair, making this the perfect chance to ask a wide range of universities about their range of courses, opportunities, facilities and support. In addition to the universities, we also have over 60 employers joining us from 21 different sectors. From Creative Arts, Digital and Media to Engineering, Public Services and even Veterinary Science!

Universities Attending –
