This face to face course will factor in aspects of your every day life such as; household budget management (including help with mobile phone contracts, credit and interest payments, bank accounts – interest and saving, universal credit payments, cost of living increases, energy bill worries), independent living skills and more. You will learn how to set up and monitor budget/finances using Excel.

Course Content

This course is designed to help learners understand household finances and to be able to make positive steps to improve their understanding and management.

During this course you will have the opportunity learn house hold budget management techniques, including dealing with energy bills, understanding universal credit payments, bank accounts, mobile phone contracts etc.

You will also learn about:

  • Independent living skills (including shopping, budgeting, healthy eating)
  • Enhancing your analytical skills
  • Using digital skills such as excel to manage your budget

If you are aged over 19, live in the Dorset Council area and don’t currently have a GCSE grade C or equivalent, then you will be able to join us and take part in Multiply.
