The construction industry, around the world, is in greater and greater need of technically skilled and professionally aware individuals to help drive the industry forward.  This full-time course will allow you to develop a range of transferable skills to ensure effective team working, independent initiatives, organisational competence and problem-solving strategies.

This course is also available part-time – as an apprenticeship standard – in areas including, design and building technician, site supervisor, quantity surveying technician, site engineering technician and building services engineering technician.

Stonemasonry at Weymouth College

Weymouth College is known internationally for it’s stonemasonry and building conservation courses.

With consistent high success rates, our students go on to pursue successful careers – both nationally and internationally – and regularly compete at the top level in competitions such as  CITB’s UK Masonry Skills Challenge, the Stone Federation’s SkillBuild, World Skills and the European Stone Carving Festival.

Our Centre of Excellence for Construction is taking shape! 

Our Centre of Excellence for Construction Skills is nearing completion and we are excited. Our construction facilities have been substantially upgraded and remodelled and we are looking forward to sharing our brand new facilities and work and study spaces with you.

With an official launch planned for summer 2021– all our September start students – full-time, part-time and apprentices – will be amongst the first to study at our brand new Centre of Excellence for Construction.
