At Weymouth College we work closely with a huge range of employers and local organisations, for the full range of links and opportunities please see our Employers page

Within the Careers Guidance Area of the College, Employers can support Weymouth College’s Careers Programme in a number of ways. These include offering experiences of the work place through insight days or half days, work experience or work shadowing. Please email the Careers Lead – Sue Dafter – sue_dafter@weymouth.ac.uk if you can offer an opportunity for Employer Engagement.

Employers can also provide useful insights to the world of work by coming in to College to give talks (either general or vocationally specific) and have the opportunity of taking a stand at the College’s Careers Fair.

We are also keen to engage in dialogue with employers and to get feedback on the content of our Careers programme. We are in the process of setting up Employer Breakfast Meetings to encourage greater integration of Business and Industry views on not only the content of Careers Education, Advice and Guidance at the College but how best to support, guide, train and inspire the next generation of employees. If you can offer constructive input, become a critical friend or would like to be a part of our employer breakfast meetings, please contact Careers Adviser – Deborah Hepburn – deborah_hepburn@weymouth.ac.uk

Alternatively, do have a look at our Careers Programme and please use the feedback form below to let us know any thoughts or comments you have, as to how we can improve what we offer to students. We are keen to deliver a programme that is relevant, adaptable and prepares our young people for the world of work.
