Duration

The Learning Mentor Apprenticeship will typically take 15 months

Month 1- 12 is for the on-programme delivery of the apprenticeship. Following this, should apprentices be successful in passing through the gateway in Month 13, Month 13-15 is allocated for End Point Assessment.

Additional Qualifications

Level 1 Safeguarding

Employers may also wish candidates to achieve appropriate additional qualifications in Education and Training including mentorship.

 

The above outcomes will be achieved before the end-point assessment.

End-Point Assessment – Month 13 - 15

The End Point Assessment is designed to assess the apprentice’s competency and understanding and should directly link to the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours of the Apprenticeship Standard.

 

Learning Mentor Observations followed by questions and answers –

Assessed and graded (Fail, Pass or Distinction) by the Independent Assessor using agreed criteria

 

Professional Discussion informed by the ‘Showcase’ of exemplary practice as defined by the Standard –

Assessed and graded (Fail, Pass or Distinction) by the Independent Assessor using criteria specified within the Learning Mentor Standard
