Get ready for an inspiring journey with the Team Programme, a 12-week adventure. Join a vibrant group of up to 15 young individuals and embark on a variety of experiences experiences that will provide you with the skills for your next steps.
The King’s Trust Team Programme is aimed at young people aged 16-25 who are unemployed. The 12-week programme is designed to help students gain new skills, improve their confidence, as well as gain a nationally recognised qualification.
Entry Requirements
Aged 16-25. Not in employment, education or training. Students must show, through an interview, commitment to the course.
Course Content
Make an Impact: Engage in community projects that create positive change in your surroundings. From environmental initiatives to supporting local causes, your efforts will make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
Embrace Adventure: Experience an action-packed residential week. Challenge your limits with thrilling outdoor activities, conquer obstacles, and uncover newfound strengths that will empower you.
Dive into the World of Work: Discover your passion and potential through two weeks of immersive work experience in a field of your choice. Gain invaluable insights, build vital connections, and lay the foundation for a successful future career.
Unleash Your Team Spirit: Take part in exhilarating team challenges that will push your boundaries and foster strong bonds with your fellow participants. Collaborate, communicate, and celebrate your collective achievements as you conquer obstacles together.
Personal Growth: Throughout the programme, you’ll embark on a personal journey of self-discovery and growth. Develop essential skills, enhance your confidence, and unlock your true potential, setting the stage for success in all aspects of your life.
The King’s Trust Course is your gateway helping you achieve your goals. Embrace the opportunities, forge lifelong friendships, and create a positive impact in your community and beyond.
Upon completion, team members will gain a Level 1 Certificate in Employment Teamwork and Community Skills . Topics within this qualification include career planning, community project, planning for progression, presentation skills, supporting others, teamwork and work experience.
How will I be assessed?
To achieve qualification learners need to gather evidence from activities which demonstrate they have met each of the assessment criteria. Evidence will include worksheets, observation records, photos, application forms, letters and presentations.
Progression
On successful completion of this course, progression may be possible to a full-time, vocational course of choice, or students may wish to enter employment or an apply for an Apprenticeship.
Fees
If you are aged 16-18 as of 31 August on the year of enrolment, there is no course fee. If you are over 19 as of 31 August and enrolling on a full-time programme of study a tuition fee will be applicable in most cases.
Bursary funds
