Delivered through the Dorset Training Academy, this 3-hour course is designed to provide managers with the tools to develop personal, business and workforce resilience.


Emotional resilience awareness and integration strategies for managers are a necessity in the rapidly changing work landscape.  Employers and Management have a legal obligation to care for and support the mental and emotional well-being of their staff.

Resilience is a skill, which can be learned; it provides managers and their organisations with a significant competitive edge.  In our fast paced, tech-driven world, resilience is a vital skill, which successful managers can utilise to stay focussed, productive and sane.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • State the required components of resilience
  • Understand the importance of taking action to support resilience
  • Practice and evaluate two emotional resilience tools
  • State management competencies required to reduce workplace stress
  • Identify methods which can be used to support staff resilience
  • Create an outline workplace resilience action plan


The short 3 hour course will be delivered at the Cranford Avenue College site. Free parking is available and refreshments will be provided.  Training can be delivered on site to meet business needs, please contact us to discuss a pre-course assessment of your premises.

A maximum of 12 students are allowed on all training sessions and there is no exam at the end of the course. Weymouth College certificates will be distributed within 10 working days of the end of the course.
