Getting In To The Games Industry – Games University Open Day – Tuesday 30th March
Are you looking to join the exciting and rapidly developing games industry in the UK? Then you may be interested in the games industry’s newest University Open Day.
A key event of Games Careers Week the open day is specifically aimed at those students at FE, A-Level and GCSE level who will be thinking about applying to university to study games in the near future. Taking place on a private secure discord server, there will be over 20 top UK universities exhibiting information about the games courses they offer, additionally they will all have staff available throughout the day in private rooms, ready to speak to prospective students and their parents about what their university can offer.
This event is completely FREE and will offer students the opportunity to speak to multiple HE institutions over one day.

AECC University – Bournemouth Careers Week Activities: Focus on careers in Sport Psychology, Radiography and Chiropractic
Tuesday 2nd March
5pm – 6pm – Chiropractic Case Study Workshop
Join this one-hour online session find out more about how chiropractors assess, diagnose and treat patients. Through our interactive case study, you will work together with our chiropractic team to understand what could be causing this patient’s back pain and how a chiropractor would look to help them. 12 noon – 12.30pm – A Career in Sport Rehabilitation
Senior Lecturer at AECC University College Tom Bennett talks about his career as a Sport Rehabilitator and provides insights around studying further in this are of interest. You can book your place here.
5pm – 6pm – A Look at Psychological Wellbeing
During this psychology session, we take a look at ‘Social Psychology’. Hosted by Professor Stewart Cotterill, and also joined by guest speaker Safarina Satkunanathan, a High Intensity CBT practitioner, together they will provide an interactive workshop around the career as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. 5pm – 6pm – Experience what a Radiographer Does
Join us for this one hour workshop led by Shelley Blane, a Medical Physicist, to find out more about the role of a therapeutic radiographer in scanning and treating oncology patients. Suitable for students in Year 12 and Year 13. You can book your place here.

4.30pm – 5.30pm – The Role of a Sports Psychologist
Professor Stewart Cotterill takes a look at the role of a Sports Psychologist in professional sport and explores the career opportunities that can be open to you. You can book your place here.
Maritime Careers Awareness Webinar – 2nd March 6.30pm-8pm
Considering your career options? Join us for an evening of maritime careers awareness sessions for Adult Job Seekers, School, College and University students and their families. It will feature local employers talking about career entry pathways to their industries. The session will be co-chaired by Maritime UK, Maritime UK South West, the University of Plymouth and City College Plymouth. There will be presentations by local employers and educators and lots of opportunities for Q and A.
