Description of accommodation

Homestay Accommodation

The host treats the student as a full member of the household, eating together and sharing the common living areas; during term time no more than 1 student of each nationality is accommodated in any one host family and no more than 2 students per household.

Private home accommodation

Accommodation in a private home for adults; more than 4 adult students may be accommodated in the home: there may be less direct contact with the host(s); and the students may be self-catering.

During Summer Schools there can be up to 6 students with one provider but they will not all be from Weymouth College; this is due to the size of the accommodation and the provider hosts students from other organisations. All students are over 16 years of age and the same sex. The provider has the responsibility of providing all meals.

Self-Catering

All accommodation is for over 18’s only, no international student is allowed in to self-catering until they have been at Weymouth College for at least a term. The student may prefer to find accommodation from the college list of providers, they may also find their own accommodation. All students must show the International Student Co-ordinator the Tenancy Agreement before signing it.
