Full-Time Courses

For courses starting in September the majority of new students apply the previous December, so apply early to avoid disappointment.

However, you can apply for a place anytime throughout the year, you may even enrol on some courses which started in September up until January – subject to conditions.

Follow the step-by-step guide to apply for your chosen course:

Step 1 – Course Selection

Compare the subjects available and get a feel for what appeals to you. Our online prospectus is a great starting point for more information on the subjects and courses we offer, or you can browse our courses using the online course finder. Once you’ve decided on a subject, review the Course guide for that subject to find out more information and understand exactly what you’ll be studying on that course.

We strongly recommend that you pop along to one of our Open Events in October, November, February or June to speak to current students and staff and see where you could be studying. Don’t forget to book your open event place. This is a great opportunity to ask lots of questions about the course to people who are actually studying it.

Step 2 – Apply Online

Once you have decided on the course, you can apply online by clicking on the Apply Now link at the top right of the course page. One you have selected Apply Now a link will appear at the top of this page. Complete your application form online using this link. You can do this at home or come into College if you need help or support. Applications need to be made online. This enables us to collect the relevant information about you to ensure that we provide you with the right advice and guidance for your course choice.

If you cannot see the link please call 01305 761100 or email your enquiry to admissions@weymouth.ac.uk.

Step 3 – Invitation to Interview

You’ll be offered an interview within 4 weeks of applying. You will be invited to meet with a member of the course team and also meet the Guidance Team.

Step 4 – Offer of a Place

You will be advised if you will be offered a place on your chosen course either during the interview with the course team member or soon afterwards. If you’re offered a place on the course, work hard, have fun, get your grades, have an epic summer and before long you’ll be enrolling with us, online (from the comfort of your home if you wish), ready to start in September.

Step 5 – Enrolment

You will receive notification to begin your enrolment online. You can do this at home or come into College if you need assistance. Enrolling online at home allows you to Fast Track and saves time. We strongly advise you to enrol online at home if it is at all possible. You will receive full details on what you need to do for enrolment closer to the time so it’s important that we have your up-to-date contact details.

Online Enrolment usually happens in August after you receive your exam results and runs through to September (or December if you are enrolling onto a January start programme). You will need to come to College to provide evidence of your GCSE results, if applicable, and pick up your ID. There will be an opportunity to discuss transport, financial and student support with our friendly staff. If you’ve enrolled online at home in advance this should be a quick visit.
