Music & Performing Arts Department

Welcome to Kimmeridge, the home of the Music and Performing Arts department. We are very proud of our facilities which consist of:

• 200 seat theatre with two stages, complete with full lighting and sound system
• Fully sprung dance studio
• 2 drama studios, one complete with lighting and sound systems and a 2-camera television recording/editing suite
• 4 computer suites containing 50 computers running music technology and composition software
• 4 recording suites
• 2 DJ studios
• 4 music performance studios with custom built silent sound system

Our staff have many years teaching experience, and most of them come from industry backgrounds. Many continue to work in the industry, so are very up-to-date with today’s changing workplace needs.

We also get involved in many client led and community projects.

We also work closely with the Art, Design and Media department where many students engage on joint projects.

Our courses range from Level 1, first Diplomas, A Levels, National Awards and Diplomas, up to Foundation degrees in Music, Music Technology and Actor Training for Theatre and Media Performance.
