Media Department

The Media is an important part of the modern world, affecting all aspects of our lives through TV, the internet, newspapers, magazines and advertising.

With its multi camera screen television studio and gallery, animation suite, sound studio and over thirty digital editing suites, the Media Centre at Weymouth College is a place of intensive vocational training.

Our courses are designed to enable you to succeed in your chosen area of media related careers.

We have programmes from entry level through to a full BA Honours in Photomedia and our courses allow you to train in both practical and theoretical aspects of the media and design industry.

Our staff are up-to-date with the latest industry developments and will help and support you every step of the way to ensure you achieve your aims.

Past students have succeeded in media careers including Radio Journalism, Graphic and Web Design, Marketing and Advertising, jobs in Print firms and much more. Many students also progress to Higher Education and we have established links with local universities as well as industry.
