The University of Plymouth Colleges (UPC) network is a partnership between the University of Plymouth and local colleges that brings degrees to local doorsteps.

There are hundreds of higher education courses to choose from and, because quality is of paramount importance, our students are guaranteed the very best teaching available.

UPC also provides many opportunities for progression on to other qualifications. For example, someone who has spent two years studying for a Foundation degree at their local college - and who has successfully passed their exams - can, if they wish, move on to the final year of a full Honours degree at the University of Plymouth.

The University's mission makes a strong commitment to the region and to widening higher education participation within it. UPC has been specifically developed to help fulfil that commitment.

Our partner colleges serve their local community. They are much more easily accessible than the University's main campus in Plymouth for many and, because they are closer to home, they offer quality education that is more affordable. That means more opportunities for more people to learn - including those who, traditionally, might not have considered university-level education as an option.

The University of Plymouth organises a large number of widening participation activities throughout the region - for a range of age groups - and also acts as a resource for advice and support.
