Study for a degree at Weymouth College

Large enough to offer you choice and diversity, yet small enough to welcome you as part of a friendly community, Weymouth College has over 7000 students not only from Dorset but also the rest of the UK and overseas.

We have a strong academic record with an excellent track record of placing graduates in good employment or appropriate further study. A team of highly dedicated and experienced staff offer guidance and support as well as high quality teaching. The range of subjects and qualifications is broad with HNCs and Foundation degrees, as well as Honours degrees with real opportunities for students to participate and achieve.

Our friendly, caring atmosphere ensures a warm welcome for everyone. From learning resources to student support, the College provides a first class service to make your life more comfortable and enjoyable. A multi-million pound investment programme has resulted in state-of-the-art resources including an ICT centre, HE centre, and purpose designed facilities for construction, engineering, art & design.

We also boast a fully equipped professional theatre, music and media centres and a sports complex with a high-tech fitness suite.

All students are welcome to take part in competitions and other activities. There is an active arts programme which features regular performances by touring dance and theatre companies, art exhibitions and other events.

Strong links exist with the local community and businesses which help to keep the courses up to date.

The campus is within easy walking distance of one of Dorset’s most breathtaking coastlines which has been chosen to host the 2012 Sailing Event.

Weymouth offers a cosmopolitan experience in a town with a perfect mix of beautiful beaches and excellent social life. The Cranford Avenue campus is a stone’s throw from Weymouth beach and a 5 minute walk from high street shops, banks, restaurants, pubs and nightclubs.

Our students will tell you that this is a caring College with a friendly atmosphere. You will find it easy to settle and make new friends and there is always something going on.
