Weymouth College has excellent IT and classroom facilities to enable up-to-date business facilities and atmosphere.
We offer the full-time course BTEC Level 2 Diploma which leads into the BTEC Extended Diploma (Level 3) in Business with opportunities to progress to University, employment within the business sector or a Modern Apprenticeship.
The Business department has a wide variety of part-time provision ranging from Level 2 to Level 4, including Level 4 HNC in Business and Management and Apprenticeships in Accountancy, Business Administration, Customer Services and Retail.
Our full-time courses include trips to local companies and organisations plus visiting speakers from local industry. Part-time courses are based in the workplace to give you the best combination of theory and application of the theory.
Career Prospects
The Level 2 business-based skills you will cover during the course will be recognised by many employers across various business sectors.
After completion of a Level 3 course you may progress to degree or Higher National Diploma level at university. The course offers a thorough grounding in real world business skills allowing you to confidently enter employment. You may apply for junior managerial/trainee roles both in specific areas such as human resources, finance and marketing, but also into business generally. Additionally, having completed the course you should be capable of starting up your own business.
