The Bay Theatre at Weymouth College is open to the public and functions as a venue for touring theatre, dance and music companies. Plays are also regularly staged by our performing arts and music students.

The theatre has tiered seating for an audience of up to 220 people. The theatre houses two stages, backstage dressing rooms and professional sound and lighting facilities.

How do I book tickets for The Bay Theatre?

Please visit The Bay Theatre online box office to view a list of our upcoming performances and to purchase tickets.

If you would rather speak to someone in person, please call us. The telephone box office number is 01305 208702 (calls cost around 10p per minute from a BT landline. Charges from other networks may vary and mobiles may cost considerably more).

Open Monday – Thursday 9am to 3pm.

Our answerphone is, however, available 24hrs seven days a week. Just leave your name, telephone number, and the name of the performance you wish to attend. A call back service operates during opening hours.

Please note that we will no longer be able to reserve seats without full payment in advance.

Where do I find The Bay Theatre? Is there parking and disabled access?

The Bay Theatre is based at Weymouth College’s Cranford Avenue campus (DT4 7LQ). Free parking for guests is available in the College car park and the Bay Theatre entrance can be found by following the drive around the main College campus to the right (this is signposted).

The Bay Theatre is located at the back of the Kimmeridge (K) building. The venue is fully accessible. Parking for blue badge holders is located close to the entrance of the theatre.

The Bay Theatre & Studios is the South West’s exciting centre for professional industry experience and study in the performing arts. Our facilities provide a dynamic, vibrant and above all, highly creative place to study music, music technology, dance, acting and musical theatre.

With access to incredible industry-standard specialist facilities, students become part of a performance company, developing essential professional skills and producing fully mounted gigs and productions here at the studios and at other venues across the South West.

We offer a range of vocational courses for school leavers and in Higher Education.
